Infrastructure Naming, Tucson, Ward 5
Active campaign, awaiting Tucson Mayor & Council decision

Arizona Public Forum Inc. is mobilizing grassroots support to formally name the newly constructed 22nd Street overpass the Richard G. Fimbres Bridge. As a landmark infrastructure development critical to Tucson’s transit future, naming this bridge honors the tireless community dedication, public service, and economic investment championed by former Council Member Fimbres during his tenure representing Ward 5.
The new six-lane span replaces the four-lane bridge over Barraza-Aviation Parkway and the Union Pacific Railroad, and 22nd Street is being rebuilt from Kino Parkway to Tucson Boulevard.
